In the morning , Heaven will meet earth as Creator and creation commune together. He will call them; He has called them, and in the morning they respond by calling one another to Hear His calling Once again.  In the morning , simple notes and simple words will form a profound collection of songs sung to The King of kings. They will rise; We will rise and raise our voices as high as the heavens and as wide as the nations are spread. These songs will echo off the stained glass and the broken pews, the tall grass and the sitting Places hewn tonight by faithful men, Lowly men who serve the Groom and the Bride. And they will echo off eternity as He is now and He is then the Great I Am and the Great Always Has Been. In the morning , men—scarred and tattered, marred and weak from battle—men will pick up their Swords wrapped in ink and paper, and they will fight. They will fight for souls and fight for families.                                         “But all the other girls who were invited are going. She’ll be the only one not there.“ “Think of how she will feel when they’re all talking about it on Sunday!” “I don’t want them to think of me and our family a certain way. They already think we’re weird because we don’t watch much tv, do sleepovers, criticize Disney, & aren't hip to the latest secular dance moves.” If I’m honest, these are the real reasons why I was upset about our family’s decision for Elizabeth not to attend a birthday party she was recently invited to.  The party is the weekend of her little brother’s birthday. The same sweet friend invited her last year and she wasn’t able to go for the same reason.  We encourage our children to be each other’s first and best friends. The throne, the cross, & the empty tomb

“ Let's go to the throne of the God of joy today & ask that He fills us up.  And when we run on empty, let's go to the cross- the foremost sign that our triune God wanted to share in His joy with us through Jesus' ultimate sacrifice. & When that runs out (we pray it doesn't), let's run to the empty tomb & witness that our joy is completed only in the Ressurection & vindication of out Lord Jesus.” My Oli's words (through text) as he tries to encourage me towards dependence on God and faithfulness during a difficult season of life for me.  How sweet to have a companion on this pilgrimage to the Celestial City who loves me so. Who seeks not to solve my problems or shower me with things just to make "feel better", but to encourage me towards faithfulness.
